Student Bio: Rui Wu is a third-year PhD. student at University of Massachusetts Lowell of Electrical and Computer Engineering. In his studies, Rui is focusing on fiber optic sensors including distributed sensing systems for structural health monitoring and photoacoustic imaging system in biomedical area. He has been working on a bridge structure health monitoring project in NH. for over one year and has good experience in field test and working with different organizations.
Thesis title: Study on novel Multi-passband Microwave Photonic Filters
Thesis Summary: In this thesis, firstly briefly introduction of the basic concepts, development history, salient features, potential research directions and development prospects of microwave photonic technology have been given. The main components of the microwave photonic filter, structural principles, as well as parameter characteristics, basic types, etc., are also described in the thesis.
