Student Bio: Aiyad Alshimaysawee is from Iraq. He attended the University of Babylon from 2003 to 2006 and received his bachelor’s degree. Aiyad worked in a number of different construction companies from 2006 to 2014. He then received his Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Oregon Sate University in 2017. After graduation, Aiyad worked as a supervisor engineer. As of September 2021, he is studying as a research assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell for his Ph.D. in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering under Dr. Tzuyang Yu.
