Jeffrey Gordon Bio
Jeff Gordon is the Manager of the Passenger Equipment Safety Research Program in the Federal Railroad Administration’s Office of Research & Development. Jeff has been at FRA for eleven years, prior to which he spent 27 years in the Structures & Dynamics Division at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Jeff carries out FRA’s research on passenger rail equipment crashworthiness and occupant protection and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.
