Student Bio: Jhan Kevin Gil-Marin is a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maine, in the Transportation research group leading for Ph.D. Ali Shirazi. Jhan graduated from the National University of Colombia with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and currently is enrolled in a master’s degree at the University of Maine, focusing his research on Transportation Safety. In Colombia, he worked as a Teaching Assistant during his bachelor’s degree and participated as a research student in the research seminar Freight Transportation and Logistics, part of the research group VITRA from the National University of Colombia. After that, and before starting his master’s, works for one year at his local state Department of Infrastructure, on projects related to the state’s road network.
