Amtrak Major Bridge and Tunnel Initiatives

Much of Amtrak’s infrastructure (bridges and tunnels) along the North East Corridor and adjoining segments were built over 100 years ago and are reaching the end of their useful life. Proposed funding and a healthy capital program are making it possible to replace many of these structures over the next 10 years or so. This presentation will discuss some of the more notable projects being proposed: Gateway Program, Connecticut River Bridge, Livingston Ave. Bridge (LAB), Pelham Bridge, Susquehanna River Bridge, B&P Tunnel.
